Big Alberta Adventure!

Chaparral ADV and Range Road Moto are hosting a group of riders to have BIG adventures on bigger bikes. This event is going to be so much fun and we’re excited for you to join us!!

For this tour, we’ll be meandering along the prairies, foothills and through the mountains. This ride is suited for most riders with a novice skillset level. If you’re planning on joining us, we only ask that you have experience riding on gravel roads.

Here are the details

Dates: August 3 - 4th, 2024
Staging and camping location: Cowley Glider Strip, Southwestern Alberta, north of Pincher Creek

Parking:

There will be parking for personal vehicles for those trucking your bikes.
No accommodations for RV’s or holiday trailers (there are multiple RV sites available at close proximity to the Cowley Glider Strip.

What to bring:

  • Your motorcycle (must be street legal and actively insured)

  • Basic tools that you would carry on a multi-ride day

  • Camping gear (if you’re camping onsite).

  • Hydration for the ride (water bottlers, camel back, etc)

  • Some snacks will be provided, but if you’re a hungry fella then bring more for yourself.

There will be no alcohol or drugs allowed at this event, please respect this and do not bring any on to the property. (thank you for understanding).

What it looks like:

Saturday, August 3rd:

2pm: Arrival

4pm: This will be an introductory ride to a scenic viewpoint of Frank Slide that’s not known by many.

6:30pm - 8:30pm: Dinner for purchase via Foodtruck. We will supply snacks, drinks (coffee, water, sodas)

8:30pm - onwards: Fireside evening with marshmallows and snacks, then in the words of Riley, “beddy-bye”

Sunday, August 4th:

7am - 8am: Breakfast is provided

9am: Kickstands up, and we’ll head to Porcupine Hills to a mountain pass (roughly 200kms)

2pm: Late lunch in Crowsnest Pass

3:30pm: Head south to Castle area - Lundbreck Falls (roughly 100kms)

7pm: Pack up and head home.
